Bob Poole is an Emmy Award winning Cinematographer specializing in Natural History, Adventure and Science Documentaries around the world. He has extensive experience filming both wildlife and people and also works on camera as a host.


Currently Poole is working in Africa as the Presenter and Director of Photography on a 5-part series for PBS and National Geographic International.   Emmy Nomination: 2013 Outstanding Nature Program

His extensive credit list includes documentaries for PBS NATURE and NOVA, BBC, Discovery Networks, Independent films and over 30 programs for National Geographic Television.

He has shot many Emmy Award-winning documentaries and in 2011 Poole won an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography on National Geographic's landmark series Great Migrations



War Elephants, a film that Bob appears as the main character and Co-Produced for National Geographic, was recently nominated for an Emmy in the category: Outstanding Nature Program, 2013. The film is also a Finalist in the category Best People and Nature Program at Jackson Hole, 2013 and won the Sun Valley Film Festival in 2012.
